I swapped out my stock cluster needles for the red needles today. I held off yesterday because I thought the needle stems were cut down shorter already but when I grabbed one of them, it was longer than the stock needles. I didn't want to look around for my dremel while the gauge face was exposed to dust/etc; so I held off. Ended up looking at the needles today, and just realized when I bought them that I got extra needles in the bag, and just so happened to grab one that wasn't cut.

So I popped the dash off and swapped the needles out to the red ones.

Rotated the tires on the black truck, the fronts had some pretty bad feathering on the inside edge so it's gonna need an alignment. I think I'll take the opportunity to crank the front end a couple inches and install the rear shackles (or maybe AAL) before it gets done since I want to lift it a bit anyways.

Got tired of worrying about not having a spare. So I ordered in another 16x7 steel wheel the other week. It finally stopped raining, so I'm spray bombing it white today.

Not really, I guess you could say that my old 355 is a thing of the past now because I've been having a lot of fun with this new 700 recently.

I still have a picture of my old 355 in a collage style picture frame with my other rides, along with the automotive print done by blurred on 355Nation.

blew a speaker within the last 48 hours...  :idk: country music... effin bullshit I blow a speaker on country music, but then again, I guess I did have it cranked for a good ol sing along.

Basically I blow speakers eventually because I need a sub for adequate bass, door speakers will blow when I get what I want out of them.  It's going to be annoying for a little bit, but I'm getting close to finishing off my electrical upgrades and purchasing the sub I want, so now I gotta replace my front door speakers as well...  I don't even know what brand they are yet, already in the truck when I got it.  I'm pretty sure its a 2pc component set with the tweeter as well (hidden behind stock location instead of cut in, so I can't really see them), and I'm going to guess at alpine based on the greyness of the speakers (they are alpine grey, but I cant see a "type" badge) and the alpine deck

I was actually really satisfied with the speakers and deck, and I think I'm going to replace it with a match (no messing with the tweeter), when I put my sub in.  That way I can take advantage of features in the deck, and take all the bad bass away from the speakers and throw it at the sub.  No more blowing speakers, and hopefully I cant find a way to blow up another sub.

 :rockon

And I picked up a huge rock chip from a POS truck driver this morning because he felt the need to drive on the god damn shoulder while he played with his phone.  Had good following distance and everything, I knew it was coming when I saw the puff of dirt under his wheel,  3,2,1, SMACK.   I'm going to bill his company from my company for damage to property, see what happens... it's a big company, maybe it just gets paid.  At least its out of the way down low on the passenger side, so I can leave it until spring.

Since getting my new tires installed, I had been feeling a little vibration, that seemed to indicate a rear tire balance issue.  I drove around for two weeks, to convince myself the vibration was real, and not just the road surface, or me being crazy.  I took the truck back today, and sure enough, there was a balance issue.  One of the rear tires had no weights on it.  So, either the weight fell off, or they just missed balancing that tire.

I'm expecting a smoother ride home.

I hate dealing with balancing issues. Just when you thought you were clear of the tire shop, bam, back in again. Speaking of tires, I picked up a set of winters today. Getting them thrown on the truck tomorrow.

I reinstalled my front runner bed kit on the truck. I have a couple load bars running across the bed now. I also had the drivers side mirror replaced after someone decided to back into my mirror the other month. I was looking around for a parts truck, but nothing locally. Ended up being pretty cheap to get the glass ordered in and installed, so I went that route.
