sagged rear suspension on one side
« on: June 21, 2017, 12:59:52 PM »
So in the process of measuring ride height for a lift kit, I found that one of my rear ride heights was slightly lower than the other (3/4"), seemingly sagging.  That or my measuring was off somehow, I want to double check it.

So, what/where would I measure suspension components to narrow down the sagging component(s)?  I just need to know relatively where to measure components in order to compare to the "good" side.

I want to fix this before I deal with a lift kit, but alternatively, I was wondering if I set the SMaxx shackles at different heights to take up the lower side, if it would work, or be "funny".  I'm anal enough to get this fixed before I shackle kit, because I assume shackles at different settings would be messy...

Your suspension isn't sagging, it's commonly referred to as the Chevy lean. Everyone seems to have this issue to some extent.

Yep what AJ said, even my brand new truck is about 5/8" to 3/4" lower on the driver's side compared to the passenger's side.
